The rate of female suicide victims. Compared to the total number of male suicide victims (21,198), the number of female suicide victims (8,474) is small. With respect to this point, Wikipedia explains:

"It is believed that there are more male suicide victims than female suicide victims because while women, whether they are jobless or single, are incorporated into the conditions of families and the society where they are protected, men who are jobless or single are forced into social isolation."

The distribution of Suicide Victims: Male was similar to that of the number of deaths due to cancer, but there is a difference in the distribution of female suicide victims and the number of deaths due to cancer. For example, although there are many deaths due to cancer in Shikoku and northern Kyushu, the number of suicide victims is not that high. This is believed to be due to the lower rate of women dying to illnesses compared to men, such as fewer deaths due to cancer compared to men, and health aspects do not affect the rate of suicides as much as in the event of men.
